Here's one I did at work. This is what I do at work.
No, not filks. Not generally. Brain stuff. The details
aren't exactly correct, but they're as correct as you'd
find in an undergrad physio-psych text book. In fact
this has been used as a teaching tool in class. Some
phrases are hard to fit in meter. I blame science, and
so should you. It's fun -- science can't fight back.
 
 
A Neu-ron-ron-ron
(from whatever old R-n-R song goes "A Do Ron Ron")
 
Neurotransmitter finds receptor site.
A neu-ron-ron-ron, a neu-ron-ron.
Locally depolarizes the dendrite.
A neu-ron-ron-ron, a neu-ron-ron.
Hey -- receptor site.
Hey -- the dendrite.
One sends out and the next takes in.
A neu-ron-ron-ron, a neu-ron-ron.
 
Excitatory signals summarize.
A neu-ron-ron-ron, a neu-ron-ron.
Inhibitories hyperpolarize.

Sodium pumps and Potassium gates.

At the hillock a charge accumulates.

It hits threshold and begins to fire.

It travels down the axon like a wire.

The myelin sheath makes it really go.

In the terminal button, vesicles hang about.
