HTML validation
- Weblint - a script that checks your html-pages for errors. The new version handles HTML 3.0 too. Online checking is also available.
- Doctor HTML does all kinds of diagnosis on your page: spell checking, table and form structures, image and HTML analysis, link verifying. Very good!
Access counters
- Digits.com offers free page counters.
- Internet Audit Bureau offers a bit more advanced counters.
- Digit Mania - lots of different digits for your personal counter.
- HTML Access Counter - a text counter. [Requires CGI, Perl & SSI]
- WWW Homepage Access Counter and Clock - customizable graphical counter for Unix, Win NT or OS/2. [Req. CGI]
HTML editing
- Html-helper-mode - a powerful HTML-mode for the Emacs editor.
Icons and other graphics
- Button World features blank buttons for use on WWW pages... Add text and use them yourself.
- The Freeart page features 3-D letters and more. Use them freely but credit the author.
- Realm Graphics - a very well sorted image archive.

- BAX Background Generator - create your custom background online.

Transparency & colours
- Fefe's transparency apparatus - online converting to transparent GIFs.
- The Transparent/Interlaced GIF Resource Page - the title says it all.
- RGB Hex Triplet Color Chart show you the hex codes for a lot of colours. Good for page colour designing.
- Colour Selector Page - pick your text & link colours (and optionally background) and see what it looks like.
Software & scripts
Perl
- Isize - a script that tells you the width and height of your images. Handy when handling the
IMG WIDTH and HEIGHT attributes. [Supports JPEG, GIF & XBM]
- WWWis (WWWimagesize) - a Perl routine which will read in an HTML file and inserts
HEIGHT=### WIDTH=### directives into the HTML files. [Supports GIF, JPEG, XBM & PNG]
- Fiximg - a similar script. [Supports GIF & JPEG]
Windows
- The Color Manipulation Device lets you try out different text and background colours in a window, and outputs the correct
<BODY> attributes.
- Iview Pro is an off-line HTML browser. Good for testing your pages offline. Handles most HTML 2.0+ commands.
Announcement services
- Submit It submits your URLs to a some of the most important WWW catalogs.
