In their quest to create a "muslim" state they conduct terrible crimes.
Thiefs are punished according to old "muslim" laws, they get their hands chopped off! Of course this is displayed in public to "discard others from stealing", this rule naturally doesn't apply to the Talebans themselves who take what they want from anybody. What most people don't know is that the dictatorial government of Saudi-Arabia encourages the Talebans with lots of money. The same applies to Pakistan.
