Lunar Lander 2000
The Game
This is a game where your goal is to safely land on the moon. Lunar Lander
2000 is a 3D version of the classic game Lunar Lander. You need Mesa or
OpenGL for it to work. I have tried it with Irix and FreeBSD 3.3. It
should be easy to compile it on other Unix systems (such as Linux) as well.
If you have any problems with compiling this game, please send me a
notice and I might be able to help you.
News:
The game has now been ported to Windows by Peter Hirschberg and is
available for download. Take a look at Peter's homepage:
http://www.peterhirschberg.com/ll2k. Peter is providing both
the source code and the binary.
In these two versions you only need to think about moving down, even though
you can move in all directions. Download the source here:
Latest version: LL2K-0.2.tar.gz
Previous version: LL2K-0.1a.tar.gz
The Lunar Module model is just an approximation of the real one.
Take a look at some pictures to see how
it looks like. If you want to make your own Lunar Lander game and want
the drawings, take a look at:

I've been working on a new version which will include textures and
a landscape taken from real elevation data of the Moon. Take a look
at these two pictures.
