We want to compete with Microsoft and Mr Bill Gates. That's one of the main reasons for us doing this. If IBM had chosen another company to make an OS that would be in every man's pewter, the world would have been another place (prolly better to live in... But hey, if CPM had gotten the contract...? well, ok, maybe that'd been as bad). Wake up! They didn't! IBM chose Microsoft, and here we are! Stuck with a bunch of monstruously competent computers, but what do we use them for? Type-writing! Why? 'Cause Microsoft say: "You have to have this" and "You have to have that" and "In order to use this you must buy that". Which makes Microsoft richer, Intel richer and IBM richer... (And a bunch of others along the way). SoftBox will do the things you want to do, but it'll run on a low-end, old school computer! Peachy, huh?
