The computer industry of today is not healthy. It's far too much controlled by far too few actors. What it needs is some competetive project which can take a fight with the big ones. The world is full of people who don't, can't, realize how wrong it is. But it's also full of hackers who don't want anything else than something new. What we do is simply to lead the way, to tell all the code warriors what to do. Well, maybe not tell, but at least suggest, and definitely make the standard. We want to get all motivated hachers to fulfill a nice project that will show all the others what's possible! Apple wanted to create a machine that would be intuitive, you shouln't need any manuals, just sit down and run! But they didn't really succeed, the Mac of today is abstract. BLABLABALABLA!
